On the first Saturday of the exhibition Marilyn Monroe. I Feel Like I Know Her, but Sometimes My Arms Bend Back, we invite you to an open screen printing workshop led by Pracownia Witryna – a Wrocław-based graphic design and screen printing studio founded by Anna Woźniakowska and Michał Włodek. The studio specializes in graphic design and hand-printing original screen-printed posters produced in limited editions.
At a specially prepared printing station, participants will be able to create their own print using a design by Jakub Zasada, created especially for the exhibition. During the workshop, you will learn the basics of screen printing and, using professional equipment and a prepared screen, create your own print. Each print will then be heat-set using a thermal press, making it durable and washable. Throughout the event, the instructors will also introduce the screen printing process and be happy to answer any questions.
How can you take part?
Bring your own light-coloured T-shirt, sweatshirt, or tote bag and give it a new life with a unique print. Please note: we will print on light-coloured fabrics only. Alternatively, you can purchase a cotton tote bag on site and create your own souvenir from the exhibition. No previous experience is required—just bring your curiosity and creativity.
