On the eve of Valentine’s Day, Krupa Art Foundation invites you to an animation screening that may influence how we choose to spend—and how we perceive—the celebration of love this year.
The program opens with Valentine’s Day, which, from a single woman’s perspective, portrays the irritating enthusiasm of couples on 14 February. Two films about the search for a partner approach relationship-building with humor and distance: through speed dating (Next?) and online platforms (Missed Connections). Curiosa poignantly illustrates the difficulties of the early stages of a relationship and the price of excessive curiosity. The evening concludes with two poetic films about emotions: a search for an answer to the question of what love is (A Roof, a Window and a Brick Do Not Make a Home) and a beautiful fairy tale about two creatures (Radix), whose meetings in a tree reach deep into the roots—and even further—once they dare to remove the masks concealing their emotions.
