Cruel Choreographies: Artist- and Curator-Led Tour and Animation Screening
Saturday, 11.04.2026 | 6:30pm

We invite you to a special artist- and curator-led tour combined with an animation screening. During the event, we will focus on the section of the exhibition Choreographies of Cruelty that addresses violence within the realm of digital tools of torture, and we will also view animations in the immersive KAF Digital room that expand on this narrative. The tour will be led by artist Agata Konarska (½ Kobiet Anten) together with curator Natalia Barczyńska.

Agata Lankamer and Agata Konarska form the duo working as Kobiety Anteny, whose practice examines the patriarchal system embedded in contemporary digital reality. In the exhibition Choreographies of Cruelty, they employ tools such as MetaHuman deepfake and open-source AI to investigate the phenomenon of contemporary “playful tortures,” such as TikTok challenges or memes featuring sick cats impersonating humans. The artists combine these motifs with the use of large-scale sculptures whose aesthetics reference medieval instruments of suffering. Their hybrid works highlight how little separates digital violence from the use of bodily, primitive techniques and tools—contemporary forms may be more ephemeral and less visible, yet equally harmful.

During the evening, you will also have the opportunity to engage with other works by Kobiety Anteny in the form of digital animations. Working across new media and performance, the artists seek to affirm the ancient values of the first mothers, restoring a mode of communication free from any cultural frameworks. This will also be the case here. The animations extend the themes explored in the exhibition while creating an immersive space for alternative ecosystems.

Kobiety-Anteny is an artistic duo formed by Agata Lankamer (b. 1994) and Agata Konarska (b. 1995), active since 2021. Their collaborative practice brings together interests in posthumanism, new technologies, science fiction, and esotericism. The artists primarily work within the field of digital art, creating video installations, immersive environments, and gaming experiences that often incorporate elements of performance and narrative. Both graduated from the Media Art department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 2023.

The duo has presented their work, among others, at Jak zapomnieć gallery in Kraków (2025), the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw (2024), G99 gallery in Brno (2024), Rondo Sztuki in Katowice (2024), and Studio BWA Wrocław (2023). In 2023, they also realized the curatorial project Pursue the Sandy Tails as part of a residency at A&O Kunsthalle in Warsaw. LoRa—the title of the project currently developed by Kobiety Anteny and presented in the exhibition Cruel Choreographies—refers to a technique used in artificial intelligence that enables the efficient fine-tuning of large generative models without the need to retrain them from scratch, while also suggestively evoking the names of women from pornographic films.
