We will learn about how the process of cultivating cut flowers degrades the environment, destroys local communities, and how we can prevent this from the lecture “Can These Roses Lie?”, which is part of the Wrocław Flower Festival – Reactivation 8.0. The meeting will be led by Filip Marek – Pan Kwiaciarz.
The rose is the most popular ornamental plant, cultivated since ancient times. It is a symbol of love that we give to each other not only on Valentine’s Day. Red Naomi is one of the best-selling rose varieties in the world. Like any beauty, it can have a dark side, not just in the form of thorns. In an age of environmental care and sustainable development, the cultivation of this queen of flowers is becoming very burdensome.
During the lecture, the 2017 film “Red Naomi” by Radek Brousil will be presented.
