We have prepared the following projection programme for the autumn 2023 season at KAF Digital:
Twin Mirror | Post Noviki
Twin Mirror is a video installation by Post Noviki. The work juxtaposes reflections on the universal nature of art, including the idea of creating collections, with the development of film as a medium. Regardless of the means of expression, art often tells and retells the same stories again and again, interpreted and depicted in a new language. The video features images of historical tools for making moving pictures, elements of contemporary film perception and effects of collaboration with AI engines. All of it makes up a poetic video commentary which, accompanied by Stach Szabłowski’s text, constitutes a statement on the timeless nature of art objects.
LeavingRoom
The Living/LeavingRoom ambiguity describes a function of an immersive projection environment in which the image lives in infinite transformations and the experience finishes when the projection ends. We watch the virtual spectacle immersed in a space that embodies appearance/disappearance, where the evanescent horizon makes it impossible for the image to be entirely subordinated to the gaze.
Raven Kwok’s dynamic and electrifying work in combination with Kenichi Yoneda’s contemplative and organic prints, constructed around poetic transformations of form, demonstrate the potential of this space and explore the different forms of life within it.
