We Are Open! Guided Tours with Artists and Curators at Krupa Art Foundation
14th of June

You’re invited to a special encounter with art and its creators!

On Friday, June 13, 2025, we open a new season at Krupa Art Foundation with exhibitions that explore themes of urban life, memory, isolation, and community. These projects invite reflection on the world we build—both physically and emotionally—and mark the launch of our summer program.

Join us the next day, Saturday, June 14, for guided exhibition tours and conversations with the artists and curators:

4:00 PM

Everything_City / Wszystko_Miasto
Guided by: Mariusz Waras & Monika Łuszpak–Skiba

This exhibition, curated by Monika Łuszpak–Skiba, presents two radical visions of urbanization:

  • Dragon’s Teeth by Mariusz Waras – a stark, black-and-white audiovisual journey through the city as a site of violence, mythology, and destruction. Inspired by the myth of Cadmus, Waras’s monumental installation questions what lies beneath the concrete foundations of civilization.

  • Planet City by Liam Young – a futuristic vision where all of humanity inhabits one dense urban space, leaving the rest of the Earth to rewild. Through film, VR, and publication, Young presents a critical speculation on climate, collective futures, and the limits of growth.

4:30 PM

Sleeping and Vigilance
Guided by: Karolina Jabłońska & Maja Demska

For the first time, Karolina Jabłońska’s pandemic-era paintings—until now held in private collections—are exhibited together.

These expressive portraits depict women caught in stillness, drifting between sleep and wakefulness, surrounded by the quiet intimacy of everyday objects. Blending the grotesque with melancholia, the works shift from vivid reds and pinks to cool blues and grays—capturing not just the mood of the pandemic, but the emotional landscape of a collective experience.

Produced in collaboration with the Collectors Foundation, supporting contemporary art and the idea of collecting as a way to preserve memory and connection.

Entry included with a regular exhibition ticket.
