We invite children aged 3–5 years along with their caregivers to a workshop where we will explore the world of contemporary art together.
What to expect?
The session will begin with a short tour of one of the exhibitions. Educators will introduce children to paintings and sculptures in a simple, engaging way – encouraging conversations, questions, and sharing impressions. The children’s questions will become the starting point for a creative discussion about art.
In the second part of the workshop, participants will take part in hands-on art activities that develop imagination, creativity, and fine motor skills. Activities such as painting, collaging, and creating three-dimensional forms will allow children to express their ideas and emotions, while adults actively participate in the creative process.
Workshop goals
-
Introduce children to contemporary art through play and conversation
-
Develop creativity, imagination, and manual skills
-
Create a space for joint creative activity for children and adults
Duration: approx. 60–75 minutes
Participants: children aged 3–5 years with caregivers
Tickets: 40 PLN (child + guardian) – available at the gallery desk and online: buy ticket
First session: Promienie by Kacper Pietrzak
The workshops will take place in Primo!, a unique space designed for young audiences. It combines a gallery dedicated to a single artwork with a family-friendly creative space.
Currently on display is Kacper Pietrzak’s photographic work Promienie, where light is not only a tool but the main subject of the artwork.
During the session, we will talk about the different ways we can experience the sun – is it always pleasant, or can it sometimes be blinding? We will also explore mythology, recalling the story of Icarus, who dreamed of flying, and together we will create our own Argus – a creature with dozens of eyes that see everything.
The workshop will conclude with art activities, where children and caregivers can experiment with color, light, and shape, developing creativity and imagination, and above all, enjoying the joy of exploring art together.
