We invite you on a unique and creative journey through the world of art and imagination, right in the heart of Wrocław! If you’re planning to spend Sunday, July 13 or August 10 in the city — or if you’re visiting Wrocław — we have a wonderful offer for a family workshop that combines discovering contemporary art exhibitions with playful creativity.

During our meetings at the Krupa Art Foundation, we’ll embark on a special summer adventure where we’ll explore art as if it were a map of unknown cities. Together, we’ll dive into two exhibitions that transport us into imagined realities created by contemporary artists — painter Karolina Jabłońska and visual artist Liam Young.

On July 13, we’ll explore Planet City by Liam Young — a hyper-dense city imagined as home to the entire population of Earth. It’s a place where 10 billion people live, over 7,000 languages are spoken, and daily life hums with extraordinary rhythm. We’ll imagine what everyday life would be like in such a city — full of bicycles, dentists, and millions of birthday parties. In the hands-on part of the workshop, we’ll create postcards telling the story of this extraordinary place, which you’ll be able to send to friends and family directly from the neighboring post office.

On August 10, we’ll discover the exhibition Sleeping and Waking — a painterly reflection on the pandemic, isolation, and the closing of our emotions and activity within the space of our homes. Together, we’ll look at how these difficult experiences affected our lives and feelings, and explore the idea that even in hard times, something good can emerge. In the creative session, we’ll design postcards from a city where the most important things happen in dreams and imagination.
