The zine-making workshop led by the Girls and Queers to the Front collective is part of the public programme accompanying the exhibitions Body. Pain and Pleasure and Utopias of the Present at Krupa Art Foundation. The starting point for the collective work is the body—understood as lived, political, and affective—and visions of the future developed from the ground up through practices of resistance, care, and community.
During the workshop, participants will work with zines as a form of creative expression. Rooted in feminist, queer, and DIY traditions, zines will serve as a tool for exploring themes of pleasure and pain, normativity and exclusion, intimacy, and utopian projects of possible presents. The process will be based on collage, text, and drawing, with an emphasis on exchange, shared experience, and the creation of a supportive space for expression.
The workshop is inclusive and community-oriented and does not require any prior artistic experience. The meeting will conclude with a presentation and exchange of the created zines, treated as an ephemeral archive of individual narratives and collective imaginaries.
