We warmly invite you to a screening of animations about the body: KAF x Animator: My Body. Anatomy of a Microcosm, curated by Monika Łuszpak-Skiba. The selected films explore our relationship with the body as a space of intimacy, a tool for sensing the world, and a field of tension between pleasure, fragility, and transformation.
Films depicting bodily pleasure experienced in solitude (Cipka, Tongue) intertwine with stories about the body’s delicacy and the threats posed by illness (It’s a Whole, Occhio). They are complemented by the humorous Do Something, which reminds us of the human body as an extraordinary, self-regulating mechanism.
The sensual Anxious Body examines tactile sensations on a microscale (the feeling of touching adhesive tape, bonding fragments of skin, or pressing it against mesh), while Furrie addresses body modification and otherness, portraying a community that constructs its identity through anthropomorphic, animal-like costumes.
The programme concludes with It’s Dance Time, a subversive animation about the cosmic dimension of adolescence and imagination, in which the protagonist believes that the changes in her body are linked to mysterious encounters with UFOs.
