Join Monika Łuszpak-Skiba for the final curatorial tour of Arsenic Ballerinas, the solo exhibition of Romanian artist Ioana Vreme Moser. This is a unique opportunity, on the exhibition’s final day, to gain deeper insight into the artist’s multifaceted practice and explore a project in which cosmetics become the material for electronic instruments, revealing unexpected connections between radio, electronics, and ammunition.
Arsenic Ballerinas and the activities surrounding Coquetta—the artist’s alter ego—tell stories of self-fashioning, female networks of resistance, and the ambivalence of makeup, situated between conformity to prevailing beauty standards and the possibility of creatively transcending them.
A swarm of lipsticks resembling flying bullets, which simultaneously function as real radio receivers, the dangerous red of painted lips, and distorted radio signals create an atmosphere of mystery within the former bunker space, generating an electrifying sense of tuning our sensitivity to new frequencies.
This is the last opportunity to experience the exhibition before it closes and to immerse yourself in Ioana Vreme Moser’s world together with the curator.
