Join us for a September series of curatorial tours of the exhibition Marilyn Monroe. I Feel I Know Her, but Sometimes My Arms Bend Back. This is a unique opportunity to experience the exhibition through the perspective of the curators who helped shape its concept and narrative.

The exhibition creates a dialogue between the newly rediscovered archive of photographs by Milton H. Greene—whose central subject is Marilyn Monroe—and works by contemporary artists exploring themes of image, identity, and visual culture. During the tours, the curators will discuss the making of the exhibition, working with the archive, the process of constructing its narrative, and the inspirations that connect Hollywood history with reflections on contemporary visual culture. Curatorial Tour with Katarzyna Młyńczak-Sachs

During this tour, Katarzyna Młyńczak-Sachs will explore how the exhibition tells the story of Marilyn Monroe through images—both those created during the height of her fame and contemporary artistic interpretations of her legacy. She will also discuss the process of developing the exhibition and how the juxtaposition of Milton H. Greene’s photographs with recent artistic works offers an opportunity to see Monroe beyond the familiar mythology of a Hollywood star.

Natalia Barczyńska will invite visitors to consider how Marilyn Monroe and the images associated with her continue to resonate within contemporary art. It will offer new contexts for viewing Milton H.
