Join us for a unique evening inspired by the exhibition Marilyn Monroe. I Feel I Know Her, but Sometimes My Arms Bend Back. This special event combines a guided tour of the exhibition, a collage workshop, and a tasting experience featuring craft non-alcoholic drinks by Trzeźwy Bar.
Together, we will explore how cultural icons are constructed and how their images can be reclaimed through creative deconstruction. Using photographs of Marilyn Monroe presented in the exhibition as a starting point, participants will create their own visual narratives and artistic interpretations.
Programme
7:00–7:50 PM | Guided Exhibition Tour
A curator-led tour focusing on the exhibition’s concept and the ways in which visual narratives around Marilyn Monroe have been constructed and presented.
7:50–9:30 PM | Collage Workshop: Deconstructing an Icon
We will begin with a short conversation about image deconstruction, the phenomenon of celebrity icons, and Marilyn Monroe’s enduring presence in visual culture. Participants will then move on to a hands-on collage workshop, creating their own works using photographs, magazines, and printed materials. Through cutting, layering, reframing, and transforming iconic images, we will experiment with new ways of seeing and interpreting one of the most recognizable figures of the twentieth century.
A relaxed atmosphere and musical background will accompany the creative process, encouraging experimentation and the creation of new narratives.
Throughout the evening, participants will also be able to enjoy the offerings of Trzeźwy Bar, a project that combines contemporary herbalism with a mindful drinking culture. Each ticket includes two signature non-alcoholic drinks.
